Create Attribute

11. Create Attribute#

  1. Click on the “Open Attribute Table” icon. While the layer is in active selection in the layer window.

  2. The attribute table window will pop up. Click on the “Toggle Editing Mode” icon at the top left hand corner.

  3. Click on the “New Field” icon.

  4. In the dialog box enter the name of the attribute, the type and the length. The length determine how many characters is allowed for the strong type. If the type is an integer it determine how many digits is allowed.

  5. Press OK. The attribute will be created.
